North American Center for Continuing Medical Education and ArcheMedX Announce Collaboration to Support the Neurology Community with CME Powered by the ArcheViewer

Neurologists and clinicians who provide patient-centric care for Parkinson’s Disease can now access an interactive four-part e-learning series to improve detection and treatment of early to advanced stages of the disease.

Millstone Township, NJ (July 8th, 2014) ‐North American Center for Continuing Medical Education (NACCME), an HMP Communications Holdings Company, today, in collaborative partnership with ArcheMedX, launched the first Parkinson’s Disease-focused continuing education (CME) series powered by the ArcheViewer, an informatics-driven, connected learning architecture.

“Given the proven success of ArcheMedX-powered education, we are thrilled to leverage the ArcheViewer to deliver a more engaging and impactful e-learning experience for the thousands of clinicians who trust the Neurology Learning Network to provide exceptional content and educational programs.” commented Stephen Chavez; Senior Director, Educational Services at NACCME.

Clinicians who participate in the four-part education series, “Patient-Centric Care Strategies for Early and Advanced Parkinson’s Disease”, will have access to a personalized and structured set of learning tools that enable each learner to archive relevant lessons to their personal ‘learning stream’; to take and synchronize notes at any moment during the lesson; to set critical reminders with the click of a button, to submit questions Parkinson Program Screen Shotdirectly to faculty; and to quickly search through relevant resources (i.e., articles and abstracts, practice support, and patient education tools) carefully selected by NACCME Educational Planners and Faculty.

By measuring the learning actions taken by clinicians as they consume content delivered through the ArcheViewer, NACCME Faculty and Educational Planners can rapidly assess the effectiveness of each program in real-time and continuously refine content to “nudge” learners in the right direction and to guide them to reflect and apply critical lessons to practice.

“Clinicians, as adult learners, require structure and support during the process of learning to drive cognitive recognition and recall over time.” said Brian S McGowan PhD, Co-founder and Chief Learning Officer of ArcheMedX, “By combining NACCME’s world class content and faculty with the more structured and engaging learning experience powered by the ArcheViewer, we are creating a simpler and more impactful way for Neurologists to learn and improve patient-centric care.

NACCME’s registered learners now have immediate access to this series of CME activities powered by ArcheMedX and more activities are expected to be available later in 2014. To learn more about the new CME programs and how learners are leveraging these activities to apply critical lessons to clinical practice, please contact Stephen Chavez; Senior Director, Educational Services, NACCME at: [email protected].
