ArcheMedX Stands with Those Advancing True, Meaningful Equality for All

by Joel Selzer Jun 29 , 2020 3 min read

Despite the world’s emotions and attention being pulled in varying directions due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the emerging and overdue fight against systemic racism, and rising economic fears – June is still Pride Month and it could not come at a more welcome and needed time.

With Black Lives Matter (BLM) finally resonating as a wakeup call for a much larger segment of our society (I say “finally because BLM was founded in 2013), Pride month serves as a monthlong reminder of all the ways we must embrace equality and a powerful symbol to the fact that all people are deserving of the same rights, opportunities, and respect.

At ArcheMedX, we join our partners in celebrating Pride Month, because LGBTQ+ rights are human rights. While we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and all the progress that has been made, we will not lose focus on how far we still must travel together to ensure that every person enjoys the same rights and respect regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, or sexual orientation.

This Pride Month, we specifically honor the history-makers of today, and yesterday: those who have fought or continue to fight for freedom, acceptance, equal protections and overall equal rights. These leaders, and the movement itself, have endured harassment and violence while fighting for the simple ability to live their lives without fear of discrimination and persecution and to be able to marry legally.

So, we stand with the LGBTQ+ community, and we celebrate our colleagues, customers, and loved ones of all genders, races, and orientations. And as we did a few weeks ago, we affirm our commitment to turn these conversations into positive action

We start by taking a stand for what is right and just, we open our hearts and minds to embrace all people, and we continue to listen for how we can do more. ArcheMedX will always stand with the LBGTQ+ community, with Black Lives Matter, and with anyone who seeks to advance true, meaningful Equality for all.
